CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My brother just called. It's the call I've been fearing. Dad is back in the hospital, and this is probably the last time. He's had cancer for 14 months, diagnosed as terminal in September. That is also when I led him to the Lord, at age 83. He's been an amazing new Christian to watch, but it appears God is about to call him home. This will be hard on Mom, whose health has deteriorated as she's stressed and worried about Dad. She's been a Christian all her life, and it is peace-giving for her to know she will see him again, but they've been best friends for 60+ years. Their 60th wedding anniversary will be this June, but the prognosis is not good for them to celebrate together, at least not on Earth.
I'm heading back to Missouri. I'll probably be there awhile. I'm taking my computer with me, so I may be able to connect with you guys sporadically. Your prayers for my travel and for whatever God's will is for Dad would be appreciated. For Mom, too. Thanks guys, and God bless you all.

VERY sorry to hear this Mike. It's really sad. I'm glad you're going there to be with them both; I know they will need you right now.
Prayers going for your travel, family, spiritual, emotional & physical strength/courage and your dad's health condition.
We never know God's will in these matters.

In 18 years Ennio has performed in over 70 countries for more than a million people. His show has received numerous awards and international critical acclaim.PS.....He is from Italy. He does impressions of stars and singers using these paper costumes that transform from one person into another. He is incredible!! He is going to be in Boston in May at the Huntington Theater and the most expensive seats are only $50. He hasn't performed in Boston since 1995. I'm sure it will sell out quick. Once you watch the video you'll see why.

I don't know what to think now. They changed Dad's pain medication and he improved overnight. He ate breakfast this morning, and wanted to get up and go out to the garden at the hospital, which he enjoyed last summer when getting his radiation therapy. We're gonna play it by ear and if he stays strong and looks good tomorrow, they may send him home. I suppose if they do that, I'll head back to Colorado. We've had a good visit.
