Ah another glamour shot Actually, had to replace the grass with a different texture, the alpha mask was causing too much trouble, causing the grass to ghost among other strange things. I think I know what is causing it, but would require me to rebuild and remap the grass models from scratch and adding more complexity to the models, requiring a faster computer to run it, so I just used a mask instead (one ugly game), though that leaves a bit of a black outline in some spots. That’s ok though, I’m going to darken the lighting a bit more so won’t be so noticeable. I could easily fix it by shrinking the grass to half the size, but then this has faction based PvP (lions vs. bears ) so having high grass gives good cover… for pouncing on them lions!

The servers are still not fixed. In fact, I've noticed that, as a page loads, there is a lot more extra coding being loaded. I have a much better-than-average high speed processor and well over a gig of RAM, and it took 30 seconds for this page to fully load this morning. I think that's been going on since Saturday night, I just hadn't noticed until now.

Whatever new servers they're using are responsible for the time-based problems, the rep issues and all the other problems we've noticed. In some cases the problems seem to be getting worse, not better. I think the administrators owe us an explanation of what is going on. They broke it, they should be able to fix it -- unless it means unplugging something that a new contract calls for them to include with the servers they bought?

I'm not willing to put up with it much longer. This is supposed to be fun, not work.

Yes, this has been an experience! I hosted a Scanvenger Hunt game a couple of days ago and it was a mad house! The posts were all over the place, quite funny actually.
