This is just a wip, have been thinking of making a sig banner and this made itself from my graphics app Actually a bit larger than it would be, I scaled it down but just using a larger version here. Don’t think I’ll actually use this one, but thought I’d post it here, anyway.

Hmmm... maybe I'll make something more upbeat, instead.

Holy Spirit Empowering: Three Terms, One Reality

You shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:5, 8; 2:4)


When the book of Acts addresses Holy Spirit's empowerment for ministry, three different terms are used to describe the same reality. When Jesus promised this power, He used the term "baptized with." "You shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." When He indicated that this power would result in a worldwide witness, the term "come upon you" was used". You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Then, when these promises of the Spirit were fulfilled, the term employed was "filled with." "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit."

There was an innocence about them that is lost in the stuff that is on today I think.

There is a huge rush to get kids grown up and into the world in a lot of the cartoons that are on Saturday mornings now.

So true... and just one more reason we don't have broadcast or cable TV. I wonder if any of the kids growing up today will someday say " I sure wish I would have had a chance to REALLY be a kid"

This video made me weep huge tears.

Six years ago this woman found a sick, malnourished lion cub in the jungle. She took the cub home and fed him and brought him up until he was too big to keep anymore. Then she made arrangements with a zoo in Columbia to take the lion. Here's a video of what happened when she went to visit him in the zoo for the first time:
