Of intelligence

Personally I think it is important the the intelectual levels are similar just because it can be very frustrating for either person if they aren't. While I'd prefer my bf to be smarter it isn't madatory. We both have our things we'd be good at.

My husband thinks I'm smarter than he is.

I think he is smarter than I am.

I think that helps make for a great relationship!

my girlfriend is smart...but compared to me...hahaha no one compares to my stupidity sometimes! on a serious note. I'm smart in times she's not and vice versa lol...
and when both of us are not smart...wow the stupdities that come out of our mouths sooo much fun!!! thank you lord for a sense of humour!!

Um my boyfriend is so much smart than I am and I love it. It wouldn't bother me if I was smarter than him, but I like it this way.

We're both very smart in very different ways. In some ways we are equally smart. Our conversations are so enlightening and fun to engage in because I learn from him and he from me. It's nice that we can have intelligent conversations with one another, discussing philosophy, theology, physics, calculus, computers, history, language, anything!

Define intelligence for me. Book smarts, I would want him to be basically knowledgable of the world around him, general world/country history, current events but not a genius. Common sense and logic, I'm expecting him to be intelligent in this area.

My bf is quite smart and a political science major. He is far more knowledgable than me in this area as well as current events. But I admire him for this and think the world of his ability to memorize stats and random facts.

For male: Would you mind if your gf or wife is more intelligent than you? (and vice versa) Why?

For female: Would you mind if your bf or husband is not as intelligent as you? (and vice versa) Why?

No.

Why? Because she would know things that I don't (which is true now) and she would be better at things that I not (which is true now) and I would be able to carry on intellectually stimulating conversations with her (which is true know).

So is she more intelligent than me? I don't know because I don't know how you would measure such a thing. Besides, I wouldn't really care because I know who she is and love her for it.
