While secretly engaging in exactly that kind of behaviour."prevent expressions of anything except cis-gendered heterosexuality".
What wrong with traditional Christian values and wanting to preserve life?Oh, they still love their neighbours. They just express that love by trying to prevent their neighbours from doing the things they think are harmful for their neighbours.
They say "pro-life", but mean "prevent abortions". They say "pro-family", but mean "prevent expressions of anything except cis-gendered heterosexuality".
How is this a slur? Seriously, it is only used to distinguish non-transgendered people from transgendered people.I personally think "cis-gendered" is a slur used for men and women who aren't confused about their own biology.
Why call it cis at all?How is this a slur? Seriously, it is only used to distinguish non-transgendered people from transgendered people.
AgreedI have no idea how he was in his private life.
It's a slur because it implies that cis-gendered people are not necessarily morally superior to transgendered. How is this a slur? Seriously, it is only used to distinguish non-transgendered people from transgendered people.
“WE SHOULD NEVER GIVE MONEY ANYMORE WITHOUT THE HOPE OF A PAYBACK, OR WITHOUT“STRINGS” ATTACHED. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD BE “STUPID” NO LONGER!” Trump posted Saturday on Truth Social.Jesus Christ of Nazareth commanded us to help the poor. " Other people's money " notwithstanding. Helping the poor often requires utilizing resources,
I don't think it's always intended as such but I have seen it used that way. Once I saw it used as a putdown to silence a gay man because he was "a cisgender male."I personally think "cis-gendered" is a slur used for men and women who aren't confused about their own biology.
Which is what many people think of the Protestant worldview.
To succinctly distinguish it from trans when the context would otherwise make it ambiguous. Why call it cis at all?
? You said you thought he was not very devout - did you mean publicly? That seems like a comment on his private life?Agreed
Because "cis" and "trans" are Latin prefixes that are opposite of each other. "Cis" means "on this side of" - i.e. "Cisalpine Gaul" (Gaul on this side of the alps"). "Trans" means "on the other side of" - i.e. "Transjordan" (the land on the other side of the Jordan River). Why call it cis at all?
Okay. Post that on a Trump thread. Thanks!“WE SHOULD NEVER GIVE MONEY ANYMORE WITHOUT THE HOPE OF A PAYBACK, OR WITHOUT“STRINGS” ATTACHED. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD BE “STUPID” NO LONGER!” Trump posted Saturday on Truth Social.
I wasn’t aware of that.Because "cis" and "trans" are Latin prefixes that are opposite of each other. "Cis" means "on this side of" - i.e. "Cisalpine Gaul" (Gaul on this side of the alps"). "Trans" means "on the other side of" - i.e. "Transjordan" (the land on the other side of the Jordan River).
Schools -funded by state and local taxesWell, if Davy wanted to ride from Dayton to Cincinnati then he'd pick a convenient trail. You could as well, unless you want to use route 75. How do you build that without taxes? Plus schools and hospitals. You have to pay for the police, fire brigade, teachers, nurses, congressmen and women, the armed services, bridges...the list goes on.
Don't want your taxes to go towards benefiting the community? The don't take advantage of all that the community provides for you via other people's taxes.
I guess you think that if you have an arbitrary border somewhere and you live within it then you have no problem with taxes. Local taxes? Fine. State taxes? Fine. Federal taxes....well, hold on there!Schools -funded by state and local taxes
Hospitals - at one time a church concern, now are big time corporations
Police - state and local taxes
Congresspeople - vote themselves raises, print play money(federal)
Of all those things mentioned, the military, some interstate roads are a federal concern (see preamble to the constitution).
Sooo... I pay state local and federal income taxes; I just filled up my wife's minivan, (that she just paid registration fees for) paying road taxes (.19 per gallon fed, . 40 state). I paid my tolls.
I think it was John Adams who said that states are free to spend their revenue as they wish ( I'll look for the quote) but federal money is a different story. Lately, it has been a piggybank for the uniparty to spend on their pet projects.
Federal taxes go to lazy poor people who won't work and don't live like I think they should.I guess you think that if you have an arbitrary border somewhere and you live within it then you have no problem with taxes. Local taxes? Fine. State taxes? Fine. Federal taxes....well, hold on there!
Local taxes are there to benefit the local community. State taxes to benefit the state. And federal?
