I feel a spirit of praise upon me, so I'm just going to go with it...
Oh Lord, when I was defeated and troubles swirled all around me, it was your great and merciful plan to raise me again to a new and a reborn life... when I was in my darkest hour, when I was thinking that this was the end and I couldn't go on, I called out to you and you answered me.
Even today, sometimes when the worries of the world are crowding in on me, I think of that time, and I remember that if you were with me then, even when I did not know you, then you will be with me always.
How great you are, to show mercy to one who had walked in his own ways for so long, who had thumbed his nose at your wisdom and despised your people. Your forgiveness knows no bounds, but your rebuke is fearsome to experience.
Truely I have been reborn into your grace!
And now, I look around at all of your marvellous creation and feel every breath that I take with the air that you have made. I look around and see the sunshine, the earth, the stars, the animals and flowers and I wonder how is it that you love me. Little small me, who lives but a breath and then is gone from here.
I look into the eyes of our beautiful son, and slowly, ever so slowly I'm beginning to understand that the universe is bound together by your love. From the oceans to the stars, all creation vibrates with your character and glory.
How great you are that the future I will inherit is overwhelmingly optimistic and joyous!
How I long one day to walk through the heavenly gates to the new Jerusalm. My true home. And to see you face to face - My God, my Father, my King and my Savior.
