CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I believe this verse is better served by looking at the entire passage which to me is verses 26-31:
Lev 19:26-31 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. (27) Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. (28) Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. (29) Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a harlot; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. (30) Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. (31) Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
Clearly, by keeping that one verse in context, God is setting down rules in order to keep His people separate from the surrounding pagan cultures. This entire passage is about prohibiting pagan religious practices from becoming part of the Israelite customs.. I think to add anymore to this verse has no Biblical value. In fact, even the phrase "print any marks" has more to do with whipping and burning marks along with using ink on the body which again was a pagan religious practice at this time.

Jer 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
