October Snowstorm

wow, it fizzled out here and we only got a dusting. looks so pretty

thats alot though and way too early. hope that doesnt mean were in for a long snowy winter

We did not get much snow here.
Looks like under 6 inches.

The light flickered at 2:55 AM.
The fan went off but that was about it.

We really don't mind.
There will be plenty later.

It IS beautiful with the colorful leaves left on some trees

we didnt get much color. most leaves are still green and a half hour away they have 4 inches. i should go there to a park i know and play in the snow with my kids.

yes, i can see that. heavy and good for rolling up into balls. glad you had that snowblower and i can imagine the shoveling you did as well. wow , you got blasted! is this the earliest its ever snowed therre?

Yup..it was a record!
Actually it was broken a few days before when we got 4 inches.
Usually we get a dusting to an inch at best in October, then it gets heavier each month after.

The snow blower struggled at times as snow was compact and very deep in spots) did I did too.... trying to rake the house roof edges; the snow was 2 ft high plus drifts and I was on the ground with a long handled roof rake

My arms are fatigued and across my shoulders/back it is achy.

I'll survive...but recovery is slower with each winter

My parents still have no power. I hope they get it back soon. My friend said it was snowing, raining, and thundering and everything yesterday.

Well we hit records snows of 2 FEET HERE
(western parts of the state exceeded that by another foot in spots)

It took 3+ hours to clear the yard, cars, and rake the house roof edges

INCREDIBLE!!!!

OUCH SML I talked to my MIL but she missed telling me this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But tell them to hang tight...my son JUST called and his is back up, so hopefully they will be too ....SOON
