Hi everyone! I have been trying to be mindful of my thoughts this week and have been doing deep breathing/relaxation techniques that my therapist suggested. It seems to be helpful, however I find myself wondering if I am about to have an obsessive thought more than the thought. Do you all have this happen too? I guess I need to try to relax and not think about weather I'm going to have a bad thought (if that's possible) and if the obessive thought does comes than try I will try not to stop it but rather say "Oh I'm having that thought again but I'm not going to focus on that instead I am going to focus on my breathing and focus on ....(different subject) and let that thought pass. Soon I will have a new thought" This takes a lot of practice and it is mentally exahusting. I was just wondering if you all find your OCD works like this...
