Obama wins nobel peace prize??

barack obama still is the joseph for the 7 lean years to come. what i dont understand is with how much disrespect america treats this man. probably with martin luther king they did the same while he was yet alive. great men are of no value to the masses during their lifetime.

He's the American president....America as a whole does not treat him bad. It's just that some hold him up as if he's the Messiah and they expect him to meet all their hopes and dreams. We all would agree that he is not God, yet some hold him up as if he is. I don't know his heart but many of his policies and decisions are scary and could put America in a very bad position biblically.

I have an open mind. I didn't vote for him but I don't hate him either. I don't think it's really fair to critize him for the after effects of this recession in his first year as it did not start when he was president. The same way I don't blame Bush for what happened his 1st year like 9-11. But I do saddle some blame on Bill Clinton's administration for ignoring AL Qaida.

Anyway, point is no matter how you feel about Obama, how can you really justify him winning this award?

Dr. King, while he had his ditractors, was widely respected because of his gracious words and actions that showed his convictions. He spent years backing up his words with corresponding actions.

I head it said that the Nobel Committee gave Obama the Peace Prize not because of anything he did or would do, but because they hated George Bush and this was a signal they wanted to send to the United States. Lets face it, Europeans and Scandanavians in particular are a godless immoral people. Our nation's Christianity and past conservatism has rankled the Europeans for a long time. They want us to be like them immorally accommodating to all manners of depravity.

Not sure about the moral depravity bit but I do know they favour a more socialist viewpoint so perhaps think Obama would be a good poster boy. I should talk hey I live in Canada. gg

With the 'Hollywood style of living' which is the most widespread views of America to the world, this is not a very conservative godly views neither.

IMO, Obama did nothing, just some speeches here and there and he got the Nobel peace prize, he plainly doesn't deserve it.
