  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I WAS WONDERING IF ANY MOTHERS OUT THERE REGRET NOT BREASTFEEDING WHEN THEIR BABY WAS BORN? I HAVE A TWO YEAR, WHEN SHE WAS BORN I WAS SICK AND DIDN'T HAVE THE CHANCE TO BF. I TOLD MYSELF THE NEXT BABY I HAVE I WANT TO EXPERIENCE BF. WELL THE NEXT "BABIES" I HAD WERE TWINS AND I COULDN'T SEE HOW THAT WAS POSSIBLE WITH A TODDLER. NOW, I THINK I MISSED SOMETHING SPECIAL, SINCE I WON'T BE HAVING ANYMORE CHILDREN. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE EXPERIENCE  THIS TOO? :sigh:

jodi sue -- just couldn't bear to let this go unanswered. I have successfully breastfed both my babies so I don't know EXACTLY what you are feeling. But I can tell you that I do regret missing other experiences that are similar in quality-- for instance, neither of my birthing experiences were what I hoped to experience. I suspect that every parent has regrets, and wonders about certain sensitive and important things like this.

After I had my first baby I was very depressed for a long time (to put it mildly.) The most helpful thing anyone said to me was this: Jesus will redeem every good thing we have missed, lossed, or messed up in this life. If you have experieced a true loss because you were unable to breastfeed your children, then Jesus will find away to restore that missed experience to you. Maybe not in this life, but you can rest assured that you will not always be "without" this.

My father told me that, and it gave me so much hope.
