  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I persoonnaly find there is nothign wrong with it, and don't feel it is a sin either, god clothed adam and eve because they were ashamed of being naked not for the fact they were naked. It I feel isn't a sin because as pointed out we started naked and still start that way! Personnaly I think I may get bored with being naked all the time, I like clothes too much :p
There is more truth to the highlighted comment than you may realize. Once you are exposed to nudity all the time, it becomes a non-issue. Seeing a person in the nude devolves to the bare-bones fact that the person just happens not to be wearing anything. That's it.

One of the great corollaries to this truth, BTW, is that nudism can serva as a cure to pornographic addictions. Nudism, in the words of many a naturist, can render pornography boring.

Sounds logical, but its true me sayign I would get bored...probably end up painting myself with colours! Plus clothes have purpose, I mean who really wants to go horse riding in the nude, and I think girls will admit runnign without a good bra on is murder. Right now they are keeping me warm..........I think it was just a natural progression... if it weren't considered sinful, I think it would be a natural progression anyway. p.s still don't believe its a sin.

Nudists don't go bare for a cheap thrill; they do it simply because of the comfort and freedom that doing so brings.

Body-painting, eh? Hee hee, that's one activity that some naturists love to participate in.
Yeah, sometimes you need clothes to keep warm. However, one would be surprised at how cold one can tolerate being nude if the sun is shining and the winds are calm. The solar radiation penetrates the skin quickly.

I am so confused after reading this thread. If the only person who should see me naked is my wife, then how am I gonna clean up after working out at the gym? I am nude there in the showers, and sometimes with men that I know are gay showering right across from me. What should I do?

Also, how much clothing is required? My chest is not considered erotic, but my wife's is. I am wondering why I can have my chest uncovered but she can't. It seems like a double standard.

Really the nudity isn't the problem its others people unable to control their actions and words. I don't really care, if I saw a naked person walk through sure I woudl be shocked, and then I'd giggle immaturly and get over it after my laugh.
Yeah, nudism can take a little getting used to. It just takes time.

Very interesting. I wonder how people would go about trying to change this double standard.
Very simply, by ceasing to sexualize women's breasts. BTW, it is legal for a woman to go topless in New York City....

The whole issue with nudity is a cultural thing. Take Japan, for instance. There whole families bathe together. And of course their are villages/tribes where nudity is common place. Then other places where if you show more than a finger tip it's considered immoral.

You ever see Japanese porn? Yea, don't think we should be using them as an example. ;)

As for the OP, it takes a, ...special kinda person to think that being nude is somehow sinful. And then these ppl teach this belief in the vileness to their kids. Dunno about you, but I consider this a far more damaging on a child's psyche than seeing a buncha ppl naked.

Bathing together doesn't necessarily mean...you know. Obviously they don't hold the view that nudity automatically equates to sex.

There is a lot of truth to this. Children hold no shameful views of the human body other those than which they are taught.

Very true... as do doctors, nurses, and others in the medical field.
And if nudity offends you...DON'T take Anatomy/Physiology...
Or even Art Appreciation (lots of nudity in art...especially Christian
art)

And you're assertion on children. They show no shame, hate,
judgement, or condemnation of anything in this life...except
what they are taught.

I think those who made the comment that Adam and Eve were the ones ashamed is a good point. I don't feel personally that it's a sin if you're not ashamed and you're taking other people's reactions (like children) into consideration.
I'm not a nudist, but sometimes I "run around" in my own house naked and I'm not ashamed or embarrassed; usually just to and from the shower or stripping down to cool off if it's hot outside; but like that girl said - running/jogging without a bra is murder, and I wouldn't want to sit on a leather sofa without something between my skin and the fabric. ^_^
I'd get bored too - my cousin dragged me to this ladies' nights male strip club once and I pretty much lost interest once the clothes came off. Their dancing around like a fireman or a pilot was more fun. I think it had to do with the "mystery" rather than having nekkidness 'in your face'.
