  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My parrot does when we're not home... ^_^

Seriously though, I grew up on that, fell asleep every night to it; there'd often be a Christian radio show on at my bedtime.

I didn't know that NPR had Christian radio shows. Did they take them off the air or play them at a different time?

Oh, actually, that was probably our local classical radio station which aired NPR part-time. In any case, that was over 10 years ago, and I don't think they have Christian shows any more either. :(

You're probably right, although it does seem like I've heard an advertisement on there for a church before.

Last night (which was a Sunday) I checked to see if they were playing classical music. When I turned it on I was surprised to hear a Christian program playing. Do they play those only on Sundays now?

Could be; if so, I'm glad they're still playing at all!

I'm surprised that they have any type of Christian programs at all. I'd think that they'd have a diverse enough audience to where they wouldn't associate themselves with a religion.

Maybe so, but their donor base used to be something like 80-90% Christian; not sure what it is now.
