I'm new to the reformed faith. I've been hearing a lot about New Perspectives on Paul and the Federal Vision. Can someone please explain, in simple terms, what is meant by these theological perspectives?

Making a quick Google search the following short definition of NPP and Federal Vision were found.

The "New Perspective on Paul" essentially argues that the Jews of Jesus' time were boasting in their election in the visible Israel, not in any personal righteousness by which they thought earned a right standing before God. In it, "Divine forgiveness is primarily ethnic or corporate rather than personal"
