  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Now You Figure it Out ???

OMBUDSMAN | The Post did a lot of good campaign coverage, but readers have been consistently critical of the lack of probing issues coverage and what they see as a tilt toward Democratic candidate Barack Obama. My surveys show that they are right on both counts.

personality cult and stirring but vacuous motto trumped issues, even among believers.... what's ta' figga?

for a long time now the majority of US voters vote feelings and personal benefit, not national well being or conscience...

Yes, but that's the liberal/PC mantra -

feelings & emotionalism.

It's why you can't say anything negative about people like Joel Osteen.
He preaches PC, so attacking him makes you ebil and hateful.
Nevermind content.

This is not new. It goes back to a specific strain of theology that began in 18th century Germany. Unfortunately, at least from our point of view, it has become dominant in 21st Century American Chistianity.

its really terrible -
led around by feelings without much thought.

But here's how I view it, this is why Americans will not accept
criticism or correction. You can't tell anyone anything even if you're nice about it.

This nation will not repent until it admits it's sin & errors. Since we won't,
I think God will either take His hand off us and leave us in our depravity (if He already hasn't), or
send us judgment to bring us to that place to cause us to repent.
I can't see God blessing us as we rebel and go the other way for long.

It all depends on timing of prophecy - God's plan of events.

When Spurgeon told the Baptists they were in a "down grade", they flipped out. What's the "down grade"? I guess it is exchanging the true Gospel for something else, like intellectual speculation, or emotionalism.

I guess we PCA types are not exactly emotional, unless it's anger. Now, there's some emotion!

because we choose to vote this way as a nation we will get the leadership we deserve and reap what we have sown..... the warnings have been clear from those with a community conscience and not governed by gimme or guilt..... and now the "chicken has come home to roost...."

Romans 1 said:
20 Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse; 21 for though they knew G-d, they did not honor him as G-d or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools; 23 and they exchanged the glory of the immortal G-d for images resembling a mortal human being or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles. 24 Therefore G-d gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about G-d for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26 For this reason G-d gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural,27 and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge G-d, G-d gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done. 29 They were filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, craftiness, they are gossips, 30 slanderers, G-d-haters, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, rebellious toward parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 They know G-d's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die—yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.

Well said - WELCOME TO THE NEW WORLD FLOOD.

http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/Reinvent1.htm
Here is some small quotes from this link:
The church: A Colorado mother told her pastor about her concern over multicultural curricula and sex ed programs that introduced her son to contrary values. But the pastor equated any criticism of public schools with "politics" and showed no sympathy. He explained that the church's new "mission" statement didn't include "political issues" which might offend people -- especially unbelievers, the potential members now viewed as "consumers" in the new church management system.[7]

We are in the midst of a global transformation, and few of us saw it coming. Silent and unseen half a century ago, this social revolution grew like a stream of water below the surface of our culture for decades. But now, at the dawn of the new millennium, the benign current has become a malignant torrent flooding the land. Too powerful to be ignored, it challenges us to respond before the old pathways and guideposts have been swept aside in its wake.

It's true. Below the familiar structure of our communities, new rules and systems are paving the way for a transformation few Americans dare even consider. Behind the familiar words and seductive slogans lurk meanings, promises and visions only known in the inner circles.

Those new words and meanings are vital to this revolution. Carried by global information networks and planted among people everywhere, strategic new terms are taking root in the public consciousness and changing our thinking. You may have learned them -- words such as stakeholder, partnerships, facilitator, accountability, assessments [see Solidarity], win-win, empathy, synergy, consensus, continual or managed change.... They are becoming familiar around the world. Seemingly harmless, they provide the "seamless" framework for managing and monitoring the global community.

This is no slam against you JIR, and it's not to entirely reject your statements & warnings. I do happen to agree w/ it to a degree in it's subtleness and how people are unaware of how the enemy is working.
It's good to sound the alarms
I sounded many in my previous ministry only to get mocked and turned against. So be it - but they fell just like I told them would happen if they didn't spot the wolves. They turned into all the others. But they were told, and it's on them what they did with the information.

However, in the list you just quoted above ---

this basically means we can't say anything without being in this "global" system becuz SOMETHING or other fits in with this lingo that's being reported to be evil.

Using terms llike, "I think" or "I feel" about something or someone or even a spiritual issue is just an automatic "dialect" buzz word with your mindset.

But using a buzzword in a proper context isn't this demonic dialect necessarily. I CAN think or feel something without knowing something for a fact - it all depends on what/who I'm referring to and what I actually know or don't know about something/someone.

I can say "I don't feel they're a believer based on their fruit" or "I'm not sure they're a believer based on the worldview I see from them". Those aren't demonic - they're assessments that I don't or can't know at any given time about any given person.
How can one emphatically say something as if they know everything about everything & everyone? I can't. Therefore, " I think" something or "I feel" something - yet don't know it definitively.

I don't think these buzz words are evil in EVERY context they're used in - including the one I just used here in bold. It's my opinion about this - whether it's actually true or not true - or partially true.
I'm not fully sure, therefore "I don't think" something is necessarily ALWAYS evil when used.

You may have learned them -- words such as stakeholder, partnerships, facilitator, accountability, assessments [see Solidarity], win-win, empathy, synergy, consensus, continual or managed change.... They are becoming familiar around the world. Seemingly harmless, they provide the "seamless" framework for managing and monitoring the global community
It says "seemingly harmless" there - I'll say this, SOME ARE HARMLESS in their proper contexts & settings. They are valid words in and of themselves. It's only when they're used in forming falsity that they become what they are.

At this rate, according to these words, everyone's apostate or going to be if they use ANY of the ones you list and listed here in any way.
That, I reject completely.

And even IF some use them in those contexts, it isn't that they've lost truth of God or are on their way to apostating soon - Pay close attn. to Lot who lived in Sodom, surrounded by wickedness day in and day out.
It says this:
2 Peter 2
7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked
8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds
9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

Lot lived in a perverted, filthy culture (*by choice*), and his soul was grieved every day that he sat at the gates & watched them live out their wickedness.
It didn't change Lot - he was righteous.

God's church will NOT be misled by PCism. Jesus told us so:
John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers

We know the difference btwn PC and truth. Those with ears WILL HEAR and know the truth and follow the true God and Him alone.

For the others who are sucked into it, we pray they'll be enlightened by God or it will end up proving they were never following the true God in the first place.
