  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been praying a Rosary Novena for something very important to me. Yesterday, I forgot to pray the Rosary until well after midnight, but before I fell asleep for the night. Can I count this, or do I need to start over? I realize it's a legalistic question, but I don't want to detract from the power of the prayer. On the other hand, I'm nearly half-way done, and don't want to start over if the prayer is still OK.

Ethel,
This has happened to me on occasion and after thinking about it I decided that God is not concerned with time as we know it. Just continue with your novena as if nothing happened. God would rather you continue then to just be discouraged.

You will see your prayer will be answered. As mine was.
