This topic is similar to the other baffling questions one.. Can you picture nothing? When you picture there being nothing, you'd think of black or white space, but there wouldn't even be that if there's nothing. So how could there be nothing? It doesn't seem possible.

To picture nothing we would have to deny the existences of our own selves - and that is impossible for us to do. As long as we are thinking, we exist. (I think, therefore I am) To picture nothingness would be an act of thought and our brain knows we are thinking, hence we exist, hence we cannot picture nothingness. The "least" amount of existence we can imagine is ourselves and nothing else.

You cannot imagine nothing, because it's nothing to imagine. Like we always imagine nothing 9before the world), as vast darkness... But is this true. We are limited by time/space/mass/senses, whioch limit use from imaginaing what it was like for a being to not have a beginning, but go on and on forever.... i don't really think it's possible for a human, because it's so far from us...

Yeah, but your nothing has bounds of your name, the relevant statistics on you, and your signature -- and my quote of it has boundaries drawn around it.

Tohu na bohu, now, that's nothing!

And having said that, I'm inexorably drawn to remember the old Jewish story:

Two Orthodox Jews of rather Pharisaical bent went to the synagogue to do their Yom Kippur duty, including the making of an Act of Contrition that includes the line "Have mercy, Lord, for I am nothing!" After performing the ritual, their attention was drawn to a latecomer, a man they both looked down on, who came in and performed the same ritual.

One of the two men nudged the other and said, "Hey, look who thinks he's nothing!"

Dude, this is so random, but I just read my old post (look above) and realized how stupid the comment was lol. Of course we're nothing without God.. Though technically. Without the presence/connection of God we're what souls are in Hell, though we've never been, so..

But we can't say that we're nothing without God. We're torn, we're lost, we have nothing worth anything, but we are.

I can say that I am nothing without God because He made me and He gave me life, eternal life.

I am not torn anymore, I have made up my mind - my mind is made UP

I have the Lord Jesus Christ in me and He is Worth

I have His life in me, so I will always be.
