Nothing Too Hard
Lee Webber
Mark 9:23 ... Everything is possible for him who believes.
John 7:37 ... If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Back in the days of sailing ships, all vessels were at the mercy of the winds. Sometimes the winds were so strong that the ships were destroyed; other times, the winds were completely calm and ships were unable to move for days or even weeks. This could prove disastrous when supplies ran low, especially the supply of fresh water. It would then be, "water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink."
One time, a ship was becalmed off the coast of South America, and unless help came soon, it was certain the crew would all die of thirst. Finally, in the distance they saw a ship and frantically signaled, "Water! Water!" To their amazement, the ship signaled back, "Let down your buckets." You see, although they couldnt see land, they were near the mouth of the Amazon River, which pours fresh water into the ocean for hundreds of miles.
Fresh water in the ocean? Impossible. So why should the sailors have bothered to try? Because in spite of the fact there was no way it could be true, it was!
Giving the impossible a chance - isnt that whats called faith?
Father, You can do anything. Dont let me rule out any possibility. Let me give the impossible a chance.

BELIEF, HOPE, AND LOVE: THE ESSENTIAL THREE
All things are possible to him who believes;
they are less difficult to him who hopes;
they are easy to him who loves;
and they are simple to anyone who does all three.
BROTHER LAWRENCE
Lord, thank You that You are our Sovereign LORD - maker of heaven and earth. Next time we are faced with an impossible situation, help each of us seek You and remember that You are in the business of making the impossible possible! In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
