  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

◘ How do you believe evangelists such as Jim Bakker, Ted Haggard, and Jim Jones have impacted the view of Christianity?
○ Which soap opera do you think would best portray your life? Why?
◘ Which serial killer (ie. Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Jack the Ripper) fascinates you the most? Why? If you could ask this person one question, what would it be?
○ Do you enjoy watching horror movies? Do these types of movies have a lasting affect on you?

If you won $1,000,000 what would you do with it?

What are your thoughts on the state of public schools?

What are your thoughts on private schools?

What are you thoughts on homeschooling?

What are your three main sources of news? (be specific, don't say tv - say what network, don't say newspaper - say what newspaper, don't say internet - say what site....)

I don't know. If it has anything to do with the prosperity gospel, I'm not really sure how I stand. I guess I'm somewhere in between. I do appreciate the positive preaching of Joel Osteen, but I'm kinda skeptical when he preaches about expecting God's blessings. What's most important to me is enjoying the blessings you have and being grateful for the blessings you get. When you learn to appreciate all that you have, I believe God brings more into your life. There are some Christians out there that reject the idea of pursuing wealth. I personally believe that when you pursue wealth in order to improve the lives of others, there is no problem with it. I also believe it is okay to indulge a little when you've got money.

Umm I'm not familiar with many soap operas. Sorry.

Jack the ripper I guess. I'm not sure why. Maybe because he never got caught. Plus he's more infamous in my mind. I'm not sure what I'd ask him. I don't think I'd have a whole lot to say to a serial killer.

No. The plots are predictable, stupid, and unrealistic. What kind of person sticks around when they know a killer is near by? What kind of person doesn't make sure the bad guy is dead when he's laying on the ground unconscious? I find the characters in horror movies to be really stupid. When I was young, they used to scare me, but not since I realized how stupid they are.

Give away $100,000 to various charities and church organizations and turn the remaining $900,000 into millions through various investments. Then I'd retire and live off interest the money generated.

Too much government regulation. Too much political correctness. Extremely inefficient.

Great until your kid gets out into the real world. The quality of education is better, but public schools prepare kids for the real world better. Public schools help your kids see what's wrong with our country firsthand. Plus kids get to interact with others with different socioeconomic status that you wouldn't find at a private school. Public schools are a better melting pot.

It does your child a great disservice.

Fox News Channel for World/National news, CNBC for business, and the Weather Channel for weather. The most liberal of the three is the Weather Channel. They push global warming issues often. Yea the world is getting warmer. It has been for a long time. It's nothing new.

Sounds like a plan with the million dollars. I agree with you about public schools being too politically correct and too inefficient. I use weather.com because I can't stand watching the weather channel itselt, I just want their weather reports.

Are you proud that George W. Bush is from Texas?

I was referring to the negative influences of Jim Bakker, Ted Haggard, and Jim Jones. :)

I don't know who any of them are, so I'll plead the fif (gotta love the chappelle show).

Yea. He slashed tax rates and I believe history will show that he handled the war on terror well. He spends too much for my taste though. The size of the goverment grew way too much under his presidency.

Jim Bakker is an American televangelist, a former Assemblies of God minister, and a former host (with his then-wife Tammy Faye Bakker) of The PTL Club, a popular evangelical Christian television program. A sex scandal led to his resignation from the ministry. Subsequent revelations of accounting fraud brought about his imprisonment and divorce and effectively ended his time in the larger public eye.

Ted Haggard is a former American evangelical preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he has served, he is the founder and disgraced former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was leader of the National Association of Evangelicals from 2003 until November 2006. In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership positions after allegations of homosexual sex and drug abuse were made by whistleblower Mike Jones, a former prostitute. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones, but as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual immorality" to his list of confessions.

Jim Jones was the American founder of the Peoples Temple group, which became synonymous with group suicide after the November 18, 1978 mass murder - suicide by poison in their isolated agricultural intentional community called Jonestown, located in Guyana. Nine hundred and thirteen (913) people drank cyanide after Jones ordered his men to kill visiting Congressman Leo Ryan and numerous members of his entourage.

Do you believe once in grace always in grace?

Do you always want to live/work in Texas?

What is your favorite large city in Texas?

What do you think of Kinky Freidman (spelling might be off)?

What do you think of Gov. Perry?
No. Satan is an excellent example that we can fall from grace.

I don't ever see myself leaving the lone star state. If I had to live in another state, it would be a toss up between montana and tennessee.

I love big D. I love H town. I love San Antone. If I had to pick one, I guess it would be houston. The economy is the largest in the state and third in the nation.

I loved his campaign slogan. Wasn't he running on a libertarian platform?

Good guy. I don't follow state politics as closely as national politics. Him and Ted Nugent are buds. He's cool in my book for that.

I think he was running on his own special platform, but yeah I think it was pretty much libertarian. I saw him on the news today and I think he is going to run again in the next election.

What do you want your ranch to look like?
You'd have to visit the Texas hill country. Words can't describe how beautiful it is. The streams run clear, the lakes are beautiful, the hills provide awesome views, and the bluebonnets in the spring stretch as far as your eyes can see.

Do you live out in the country now? (when not at school)

Do you have experience around livestock?

What is your favorite thing to hunt?
I guess its country. It isn't really the boonies though. As soon as I can get some decent full time work, I'm moving out.

My grandpa has cows on his ranches. Strictly for tax purposes. He sells the calfs to help pay for the hay and food the cows eat.

Dove. Sitting around a field or pond with your buddies drinking a cold one. Nothing better. It's more social than other types of hunting. Shooting birds out of the sky takes alot more skill than shooting a target that isn't moving.
