Where is the believer who is willing to see the plan of the Lord from a perspective other than his own? Who of us I is secure enough in Christ alone to share His powerful revelatory platform with someone who sees things far differently, but just as passionately, as he does?

Who is there amongst us with a small enough ego, in whom brokenness has done its work to the point that he/she has nothing to DEFEND nothing to PROVE and no one TO BEAT.

Such is the heart of the Father in these exciting, yet troublesome days. He will be content only with a Body that excels in servant hood and humility and whose very sustenance is to do the will of the Lord.

A man who lives in this posture will rejoice as God uses people other than his own associates, and will genuinely pray for those whose passion is different from his own. This man sees a God bigger than what he is able to commission to one group of believers. He sees a God who is not interested in competition or comparisons among His own. This man walks softly before Him because He is the plumb line to which he compares himself. When he does compare himself to Him he is silent in wonder at His mercy and grace

Same thing as viewing that God chooses to use you, you don't choose to be used by God. Same thing right? It's not up to you to decide how God will work through you or who He will work through. That's what I mean. Is that along the same thing you are saying Altya?

Well sbbqnb, I would never presume to speak for Alta. And perhaps your interpretation of what this means is correct. It may be that it has different meanings for different folks.

I am sure she is well able to explain her own posts to you. So you have given your thoughts and I will tell you what I see.

It seems to me she is speaking of the believer who has "died to self"; the totally yielded believer. The one whose whole purpose in life is to serve and please God, and to do it for the Glory of God.

Yhis man is the one who builds a Church, not for the sake of having one a little larger than the one down the street, or to have more members, or to be featured as "the man". His sole interest is for the Glory of God.

He carse not that someone else gets the "credit" for it. He could care less. All this believer wants is for others to see JESUS.

This believer does not see things through eyes of the flesh but through Spiritual eyes; the eyes of God, because this believer has the very mind of Christ.

This believer she speaks of, has no personal agenda. He has no goals for personal gratification; is in no race or competition with anyone for any glory.

All the actions of this believer is based on bringing Glory and Honor to our Saviour, and therefore has no need to defend his actions. He is not out to prove he is a better preacher, or that he can win more souls, or that he is more righteous than another. This person's actions speak for themselves.

And this person does not fall into that comparison trap. He is well aware that there are people who are both greater and lesser in accomplishments, and who are at different levels of maturity and service, and that all men have not all the same calling.

That some are teachers and prophets, and preachers and evangelists, and many other callings. This believer does not confine the Body of Christ to a single denomination, or creed or persuasion.

This believer is well aware that there are born again believers in the Baptist, and Methodist, and Pentecostol Churches as well as just about every one that exists. This believer is well aquainted with what God's Word says about the Body of Christ in the 12th chapter of I Corinthians.

This believer is IN Jesus and is secure and sound and knows his position in Christ, and hence has no need to compare himself to others. He only compares Himself to the standard set forth by God. The standard of JESUS. And when he does he sees how unworthy he is and is awed by God's mercy and Grace through the shed Blood of Jesus, who saved him.

She is really saying a lot more here, but that, at least, is how I basically see it.

Gerry explained very well - It’s to have a divine goal in life and not your own agenda anymore.

To many times we defend ourselves and we actually have to be like a lamb when people accuse or persecute us. Only time we have to roar like a lion is when they attack baby Christians.

In my own life I have witness how I want to proof myself. Being the only saved one for years there where many conflict in my household and I develop a lifestyle to proof myself in everything I did.

Being amongst the leaders of women conferences I found myself in the ‘rat race’ of competitions. Always have to be better than other Christians.

What God showed me the last couple of days is that there is no need for any of these things. Christ in me is enough. I am obligated to look pass my own pityness and look upon the great commission and fit in the Body of Christ and do my own part.

Just want you to know this post was an inspiration to me, and I have adopted that title as my own personal motto.

I have often written on and preached on this same topic. It matters not who we are in the world, but who we are in Jesus: Not where we are in the world, but where we are in Jesus: Not who is looking at us but Who we are looking at.

But we are made in the image of God. We are a triune being, as is He. God's Word says it is sharper than a two edged sword, even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit.

We are composed of body (flesh) soul, and spirit. We cannot become spiritual to the exclusion of the body and soul. That is clearly contrary to the will of God, through the teaching of His written Word.

Rather we must acheive an appropriate balance of the three. Only then are we able to take our rightful place in the Body of Christ.

We acheive that balance though fasting and prayer, and through fellowship with the Body, that is to say Fellowship with the TRUE Body of Christ. Remember that not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" is of the Body.

Oh then I was mistaken... I have to learn when to speak still, I'm young. But I am glad I can come here with the two of you for excellent teachers (plus many others too :) don't get me wrong there are plenty good teachers at the forums! ) But I thank you both for your insight and correction. May we all grow closer to Him as we post and read here. Have a great day!

Thank you for your extremely kind and considerate words. You are an awesome young man who is learning at a rapid speed and who God surely has some special plans for. Never ever be reluctant to ask questions or state your opinion. Even if yours differs from everyone else. It is in that way that ALL people are able to learn. I was impressed the first time I saw you post, and I am glad I met you. May God bless and use you in a mighty way.

Alta, there have been times when your posts were good, but did not mean anything special to me. There have been some I have just plain disagreed with. Others I have loved and been greatly impressed with. A few I have felt were a message from God for me. Some have been truly anointed.

This one is many things to me. Cause each time I read it, I see something different. This one was for me at the right time. I am glad God used you to put this here. Thanks.

I cannot stop being grateful for this teaching myself. Since I stopped to defend myself is almost as if God is taking on my case. Yet it’s still in the beginning and I am not sure but it’s really something to rest in Gods love and not on my back-feet defending myself. I have also notice that when I defend one case the enemy just brought up another and keep me in defense.

I also stop to prove myself. I am washed by the blood of Jesus and has nothing to proof more

Praise Jesus forever! As you can see I adopted the title of this post and put it under my name. And I can vouch to anyone that giving the battle to God is the only way to go. But I will also admit, it is more than a surrender; It is a learning process. It is not so easy to just let it all go at once. Quite often I get the urge to take it back and defend myself, but the moment I do, I fail, and I am reminded that my strength and my victory is in Jesus, and as He pointed out in John 15:5, without Him, I can do NOTHING! Without Him, I can not even draw a breath. Because as it say in Acts 17:28, "...in him we live, and move, and have our being..." Outside of Jesus we are simply a dead, empty shell in need of a Saviour.

And you are so right. When we are in Jesus and He is in us, we have nothing to prove and no need to defend ourselves. He is so able and willing and He can do it so much better!

I tried to keep this post alive before because I felt it was an important work that needed to be seen by all. Now it seems the importance was really for me.

Who is there amongst us with a small enough ego, in whom brokenness has done its work to the point that he/she has nothing to DEFEND nothing to PROVE and no one TO BEAT.

I am thankful now, that I have come to the humbling point of having nothing to defend, nothing to prove and no one with whom to even compete much less beat.

Now I am ready for what lies open to me, and though this post spoke loudly to me before, at last I understand it's deeper meaning for my life.
I will speak the Words of Jesus and they will be accepted or rejected, and my efforts will be honored by God, Whose approval is all any Christian needs.

I am grateful to be His child, and I am grateful to others of His that make posts that speak to me. May God bless all of His children, and reward their efforts in His service.
