I've always been a Christian and I have sinned. Sometime in our lives I believe that there is always a temptation that we fall in to.

In the past four years I've made some posititive changes to better my life and be a better Christian. I cannot be perfect. I don't have regrets because the things that I've experienced in my life have allowed me to learn valuable lessons that I will never forget.

I've had pre marital sex, had a lost year do to drugs and fallen into the wrong crowd and was a mean person for most of my teen years.

That changed going on 4 years ago.

However when I was trying to give the benefit of my experience here it came across a negative reaction.

Now I'm lost I've always believed that God forgives, that he wants us to learn lessons and share them with others. I guess not.

Every single one of us as Christians fall into temptation. You're right in saying "nobody's perfect".... because we won't be until we get to Heaven and see Jesus face to face. But, we also have to be STRIVING for it.... if you are honestly doing your best, then you are on the right track. God knows every heart.

The Bible says, in 1 John 2:1, "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."

But note that it says "if you sin", and NOT "when you sin".... that means that we don't go out expecting to sin. But all of us have our areas where we are weak. If we slip in any of those areas, that's where the Holy Spirit comes in: His job is conviction. When we feel guilty, that's God saying that we did something we shouldn't have done. When we ask God's forgiveness, and He will forgive. Then, our job is to try not to do it again, and move on in our lives.

Hope this helps. :)

JimfromOhio <~~~~~~~~~~~~have sinned. Have lots of regrets. Committed various degrees of sin against God. I tried drugs, got drunk, had pre-marital sex, adultry, pornography, and many more. As a human being, I will always be a sinner. As a sinner, I am forgiven and God is still working on me. I believe I will always have my battles between my new and old nature. I am not a perfect Christian however, I am trying to live with my "new nature".

Halifaxhoney........ You are not alone.

hi! Don't worry about anything that others have said to you. If they are judging you wrongly it is because they aren't strong enough in their own beliefs to understand that being a Christian doesn't mean pretending to be perfect. It's a good thing to admit to others the areas you're struggling with in your life. Sharing your story with others is exactly what God wants you to do. It's ok if your beliefs are a little different from other Christians, everyone has their own unique beliefs, as long as what you believe is backed up from the Bible there's nothing wrong with believing it. I hope you find the answers you are needing.

to the ears that won't hear, no message is of value.

To message of salvation, no barraier is a worthy opponent.

To God, nothing is more value then his Children.

Preach and Speak of your expirences my Child, and do not let the scoffers and the self rightous silience your voice.

If you save but one, then they scoff in vain.

You are loved Child, By The Author of Creation Itself, and There is no Greater Love then lay down ones life for another.

Let the bosters Boast.

Let the Braggers Brag.

Let the Condemers condem.

But Speak as you Speak, becuse God is for you, and with Gods light inside you, there is no darkeness that can dim your soul.

God Bless

Always.

There's a saying: You can't please all the people all the time. You're always going to offend someone, especially when you speak your mind, and tell others what on your heart. That's what got Christ crucified. If sharing what's happened to you and talking about the mistakes you've made offends someone, keep to talking about it. Someone else might be in the same situation you were in.

Just try to make amends with anyone you've previously hurt and try to move on with life. You've learned lessons and they'll be with you always. You can turn your life around and head anywhere you want to.

If you can share an experience with others and they'll learn - that's always good. I've learned lessons from people I won't forget.

Don't feel guilty about the sex and drug stuff. I think many people have been there. Sex is natural, most drugs aren't.

Just because someone came across as cold or rude or you didn' perceive that they accepted what they had to say.
I wonder if anyone ever hurt Jesus' feelings?
They are probably are just having a bad day and can focus on no-one but themselves.
Keeping that in mind now you can show them some joy in your spirit. It might change their whole perspective.

Sweet One,

Christ's greatest teaching was "Judge not, lest ye be judged". Don't be too hard on yourself. None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes. There isn't anything wrong with pre-marital sex, and it is natural to be judgmental and sometimes harsh on other people as a teenager.

It's all a part of growing up. JUst build a bridge and get over it. We all make mistakes, and you shouldn't be too hard on yourself for what you previously did or didn't do.
