Notebook help

Hi all,

I'll be teaching elementary school starting next fall and I'd like to buy a laptop for travel, school and personal use. I need to take it with me to classes this summer, as well as use it for grading, keeping class records and internet surfing.

Can anyone recommend a good, middle of the line laptop? Plus, any other hints or tips when researching and buying laptops would be helpful. Many thanks

Dell's Inspiron Series are what I see most of the college kids using at my school.

the ibook should be fine for your needs. but the powerbooks are beautiful.

Eek, I'm Apple phobic. I've had a PC for 14 years. I think switching over would cause me heart failure.

I'll have to call teach for america in chicago and see if they know about a teacher discount.

My PC is a refurbished dell 8200, runs like a champ. No problems.
