I don't have much to say other than the prophecy seems to kind of point out the obvious. Those who are not sleeping know the times that we are in and what's coming, both by observing events going on in the earth and of course what scripture already says.

I agree eyesee. Although wouldn't it be great to actually know how many people are awake and see the signs!?!? I know most of the people I'm in contact with do not see. And when I try to talk about it with family and friends....they don't want to talk about it. That's why this site is great because most everyone is here because we see the signs!

Yes it would. Imho what's coming down the pike is God's attempt to wake us up!

Absolutely. I think things are wrapping up here most definately.

The point of the Holy Spirit revealing this kind of theme or plot or end times prophecy to anyone, is to stir the hearer to "act" or "do something". It is good to ask yourself this; If the time was (or is) ripe, what would I do differently that I am not already doing?...and then go do it. A word from the Lord is always a call to receive and act on what we hear.

A true prophet of God never needs to tell people they are one, and they should never draw attention to themselves, but direct "all" attention to the Lord and His words. I personally never trust a prophet who makes a profit from their calling.

I agree. Seems God has already attempted to wake us up and America is not listening. (9-11 .. Harbingers) The prophesy is sugar coated compared to what else is actually coming to America according to many reliable prophets of God.

We earnestly pray for mercy for this once great and blessed Christian nation.
It's going to get extremely difficult for many.

Granted what you say...but what particularly struck me was the bit about the fallen angels. Now, I know there are those who do say they will make a reappearance, and even that so-called alien abductions etc are really demons, but there are are so many theories and interpretaions about that passage in Scripture, it's hard to know what's what. Do you know of anyone else who has actually had a word from God about the renewed activity in the sense of 'sons of God coming into the daughters of men'. Seems pretty unnerving to me.

Hopefully as Christians we won't be deceived, but there are probably many unbelievers out there who can be taken in by all sorts of things.

Yes, this is the trouble, and so much to do with the spiritua lrealm sounds like somuch gobbledegook to unbelievers. There are even some Christians who don't believe that Satan and demons are real entities. So it can be hard to discuss some stuff sensibly. And also hard sometimes to distinguish between what is nonsense and what is real or true.

Don't know what to say there. Revelation talks about all kinds of demonic activity but doesn't mention nephilim coming back. I don't even know why that would be significant or why in the light of everything else, it would matter enough to be specifically called out. I'm extremely conservative when it comes to what I'll digest and what I won't. Typically, if it's extra-biblical or doesn't line up with scripture, I'll just toss it out. Like Thessalonians says, testing all things and holding to that which is good.

Yes, nothing's more important than getting as close to Jesus as possible.

However, if a prophecy or word is given, purportedly from God, then I think it is good to take notice and act if necessary...having of course, tested it. God must give or say things for a reason.

Thanks..yes. Some things I will ignore if they just don't seem right, but other things, I'll keep to one side until I know more one way or another. I learnt not to believe everything I'm told from at least the age of 6, and that was on a purely material level. So I try to be even more cautious with other stuff.

My focus is also first the Lord Himself, but I also agree that prophecy is very useful for understanding the times and what we are to do.

Jude 1.6 speaks of the angels of Gen 6 being bound in eternal chains for the day of judgment, but I don't know that that's all there is to say on the subject.

I am in general agreement with this prophecy, though. Things are headed downward quickly, and in a big way. I don't have it in me to pray for America any longer, since the election. That may change, but for now I sense the leading to focus on evangelism, along the lines of Peter's exhortation and admonition on that first Pentecost: "Be saved from this twisted generation!". And indeed, America's downward spiral is going to drive many to be desperately open to the implantation of the Word of salvation and the encouragement of the scriptures. Business as usual and the way we have been going for decades just isn't going to cut it any longer. That is becoming increasingly clear to many.

Perry Stone’s Voice of Evangelism has an article about this very thing this month. Apparently, there are 2 specific “abominations” that if a nation participates in, will lift the favor of God and bring His judgment on the entire population.

1. The shedding of innocent blood (Deut 19:10-13 Deut 21:8-9)
2. Men having unnatural relations with other men. 2 Peter 2:6

The election of a leader who sanctions both is puzzling to me too. I’m with Perry in wanting to know how believers can bless what God has cursed or approve of abominations that destroy empires. Perhaps its ignorance or maybe even defiance.

Perry also highlights that another huge slight against God is our leader’s ignorance of the relationship that America has with Israel (the reason we are blessed.. or were blessed) The President also misunderstands the covenant that the Jewish people have with God and the land of Israel....Evident in the fact that he has promised parts of Jerusalem to the Palestinians.

But we have to remember that our warfare is spiritual, our conflict is not with flesh and blood. The saints rising up in intense prayer and worship and speaking the Word against the enemy, can turn the spiritual battle in our favor and start a Reformation in America that would make Martin Luther dance in heaven.

If we don’t, God will split America as our leader is trying to split the Holy Land and all of these other adverse prophesies will come to pass.

Kate, I can't disagree with a word you've written. When a society openly endorses these things, it is a sign that it has positioned itself for judgment. I was just reading in Revelation, in several places like 13.7 where authority is granted to the beast not only to war against the saints, but to overcome them ("nikao" - conquer). We like to think that it couldn't happen here, to us. Not in America, with our rich Biblical history. But it can, and someday will. The Word is full of examples of God's people incurring judgment, because they squandered what they were given. To whom much is given, much will be required, while those in less endowed are held to a lesser standard. Whether that day is upon us I don't know. But the signs sure point to it, and I think we should get ourselves prepared for anything.

I do have to say that when it comes to America....God must be very disappointed! Young adults know everything about sports figures and celebrities...but know nothing about the leaders of our country...what they had done in the past or what they plan to do! Even though they complain about high gas prices, food prices...their pay checks, their student loans etc.. They are easily fooled by the words "change" or "forward". Forward where?!? Change to what?!?! I think this was a test to see how ready the general public is for the great deception. We need to wake up and fast!!

I got a little teary eyed reading this because I know what's coming if we don't turn the tide. Christians don't seem interested in doing that. "To whom much is given much is required" We have definitely squandered the blessings of our Lord. Before, I could not see how the saints could be overcome unless the rapture took place and the beast picked on the new saints on earth.. but now, I understand that our laziness and taking God for granted might be our undoing here on earth.

I see it starting. Just this morning the GOP was pondering ceding power to Obama. It was unbelievable and will move our decline with incredible speed if they do that.
