I am a bit concerned about what it says in Hebrews 6:4-8

The letter to the Hebrews was written to them not us.

When you realize that one can read in context. What was the predicament that the Hebrew Christians were facing? What were they thinking about doing? When was it written and how did they respond to these warnings?

So even though I willingly rejected God and Jesus in the past when I was going through an atheist phase, but now wanting to repent for my time away from the lord and worrying about the sin I committed proves that he is willing to forgive me.

But I denied Him. Isn't that the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Again, who was He speaking to at the time and what was it that caused Him to pronounce that the unpardonable sin was unpardonable?

When we ask ourselves these questions and answer them by observation of the text we find substantive answers to tough questions. What is a tough question?

If Christ died for all our sins then how can there be an unpardonable one? That's a contradiction.

Those who miss the significance of MT 12 are not paying attention to the narrative.
But I've got another thread on the subject. I'll try and dig it up for you bro.

We are beings that were created with a need for unconditional all accepting love. The problem is that none of us can give this kind of love that we so desperately need because all of our love is conditional in some way. The only one who could give this love we need is the Messiah.

When we forgive, someone pays the debt. And forgiving requires suffering. If someone breaks a lamp in someone's home, the owner of that lamp can say: I forgive you, I will replace the lamp. If he does, he suffers the debt, he goes without light in that part of the home. Or he can force the other man to pay the debt, somebody will always pay the debt. If we refuse to forgive, we are forcing the other to suffer for his action, we can sometimes even take pleasure in seeing the other pay the debt but if we do this, we are not really forgiving.

This is exactly what the Messiah did for you and for me, He paid our debt. And if we read the accounts of Messiah's death it tells us that He was silent. What we don't have in this example is Jesus manning up and being a tough willed person, what Messiah showed to us is that He completely forgives us and gave us His all accepting, unconditional love in order so that we could become the beings he created us to become. Our problem is that we are so prideful that we are not willing to give up anything for others. The most valuable gift I ever received was not a sinless holy life (the more I try not to sin the more sin I do) but it is the desire to forgive others that don't want forgiveness. And that is all of us. Jesus prayed "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". We need to take that example of God's unconditional love for us and begin to learn how to give that love to others - Father forgive others for they know not what they do. What are you and I willing to place upon the altar? We need to yield ourselves upon the altar by being humble and forgiving others as Christ forgave us. If we do this, we can experience true joy and true peace and we can learn to give each other that kind of unconditional love even if its in just a small way. And as we grow we will learn to become servants of the Most High God.

We have been freely forgiven by God.

The difference between our faith and every other belief system is the difference between "advice" and "news". Yeshua didn't just come to give advice. He came to bear our debt, to pay for the penalty of our sins (the wages of sin is death), so that we could be free to forgive one another as he forgave us. Its not advice that is the message of the bible, but it is news, good news. The news that God has intervened on our behalf, and has provided forgiveness for our sins.
We are beings that need unconditional all accepting love. Our problem is that none of us know how to give this kind of love because all of our love is conditional in some way and is self serving. But God who is the embodiment of love, and who does not need love, became a willing sacrifice and gave his life as a ransom for sin. Why? Because we needed love. And so that we could receive the kind of love we as human beings so desperately needed - unconditional, accepting love and so that we could become the kind of people He created us to be.
It's not what we can do for God but what He has done for us. He entered "our world," He took on
"our humanity," He bore "our sins," He died "our death, "He was resurrected for "our life," He's coming again for "our glorification."
Paul in his letter to the Romans is urging us on the basis of all that he taught on, on the basis of all that has been done, he urges us to become living sacrifices:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". (Romans 12:1, 2 KJV)
"therefore" meaning all Paul taught concerning grace and mercy, we have become thru Christ the objects of God's omnipotent, eternal love.
If we have not understood all that the mercies of God has done, if we have not understood doctrinally and theologically deep enough, all that Messiah has accomplished for us, then we have become useless to him. God is calling us to live our lives as living sacrifices unto him. Our problem is, we are so prideful that we are not willing to give up anything for others. When a sacrifice was laid upon the altar there was a great deal of suffering involved, the animal experienced pain and suffering. What are we willing to give up? What are we willing to place upon the altar? So that we can become a blessing to others, and become servants of the Most High God?

Worrying don't prove crud. Scriptures prove that once you placed your faith in the Messiah you have eternal life. Scripture proves that Jesus is the good shepherd who will take you back after you've gotten lost because He sought you out from your rebellious state. Scripture teaches that nothing can separate you from the love of God.
You need to get yourself into a fellowship that will grow you into maturity. Depending on your location I might make a suggestion.

Don't know Pittsburgh. Sorry.
But Gary Derechinsky has a podcast that helped me turn my life around. He's the head Messianic Rabbi @ Beth Ariel LA.
I remember driving him and his wife to the airport here in hawaii and saying to him "I'd really like to get serious with my spiritual life" he quickly responded, "you are serious." I didn't need to hear anything more. I understood that my life had a new element to it, my newborn human spirit and that my doubting that I was serious was just denying who I had become the moment that I believed. I doubted what God promised to me would be a new creation, I now realize that without faith I could not please God. So yeah I'm serious about Christ and so are you.
It all starts here with you admitting that you love the Lord and that you are dedicated to living skillfully for Christ. Don't delay, answer the call.

i think I understand now. Because of me wanting to earnestly repent for denying God and Christ and becoming an atheist, I haven't become an apostate and hardened my heart to the point of becoming spiritually dead. And that the lord is willing to forgive me for my transgressions?

Even if you quit believing you are still going to end up with us that believe. There is no difference between us in terms of our forgiven sin. The only difference is in the use of our bodies in this life by using the spiritual gifts God has given us to help one another get better, to grow.how we live now will determine our status in the kingdom age for 1000 years. Some will spend the entire time in remorse that they did not live for the Lord while alive, but for us it's not too late. We need to press onward. If you don't use your gifts, how am I supposed to get better? And if I don't use mine then how will you get better?

The power for the guilt of sin was paid by for and dealt with at the cross of Christ.

The power of the sin nature itself is being dealt with by the Holy Spirit thru the believers.

So even if I committed apostasy he will forgive me if I truly want to repent?

You can't truly commit apostasy. You may go into hiding but once saved always saved. Some people have gotten dementia and denied Christ after living their whole life for Christ. God will not forsake them nor even a little child that puts their trust in Him.
God will be faithful to His own Name, if you believe you are already living your eternal life.

We have found in Hebrews 6:4 that it is impossible for the apostate to be renewed again to repentance. The Bible is clear that only through repentance can one be saved (Acts 2:38; 11:18). Hebrews 10:26 tells us that there is “no sacrifice for sins” remaining for the apostate. “The apostate has sins but no available sacrifice for his sins. Having rejected the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ, there is no other sacrifice to which to turn.”

The Book of Hebrews was written to a body of Jewish believers in the Land of Israel, who were seriously considering going back into Judaism because of the severe persecution they were facing. They thought that they could give up their salvation temporarily and go back into Judaism until the persecution subsided. Then they could accept the Messiah all over again, and their new salvation would erase the sin of the previous apostasy. That was the option they thought they had. Therefore, the writer of Hebrews wanted to write to them and tell them that they do not have the option they thought they had. They do not have the option of giving up their salvation by going back into Judaism and then being saved again later.

They do have one of two options. The first is to go back into Judaism, but that would mean the loss of their physical lives. Often in Gentile thinking, the assumption is that the word “save” or “salvation” refers only to spiritual salvation. Frequently however, in Jewish writings it has to do with physical salvation, and that is the way these passages in the Book of Hebrews need to be understood. As seen when the five warnings are given, each is correlated with physical judgment and physical death in the Old Testament. Hence, these Jewish believers did not have the option of giving up their salvation and being saved again later. If they did go back into Judaism, they would suffer the judgment of A.D. 70, the judgment for the Unpardonable Sin, and suffer in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. They would lose their physical lives, but they would not lose their salvation.

Their second option was to make the break from Judaism once and for all complete, and press on to spiritual maturity. The writer wants to encourage them to press on, so he shows how the Messiah is superior to three main pillars of Judaism: angels, Moses, and the Levitical System. To go back to Judaism is to go back to something inferior, because what they have in the Messiah is so much more superior. The author basically follows a logical argument in the Book of Hebrews, however, five times he deviates from his topic to give a warning based upon what he has just said.
