Jesus said not one letter of the Torah would disappear until Heaven and Earth pass away. (Matthew 5:18)
Assuming that has not happened...
This means that Jews at the time should still keep the Torah, but as Paul teaches, they are not saved by the Torah, but by faith. So, they are supposed to keep God's laws, but it is their faith that saves them, not the laws.
They also decided in Acts that the gentiles didnt have to become Jews and keep the Torah to really be saved.
It kind of strikes me as odd that 20 centuries later we have a whole bunch of laws taught by the Church which remind me a lot of all of the laws that the Jews had to follow to be saved.
Did we trade one law for another, as gentiles?
