  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Now Trevor doesnt nap, he will fight it and fight it. Yesterday he took a total of 1 hour (10 min here and there )............so i dont know what the prob is.

so last night he went to sleep for the night at 6:30 or 7pm, slept 5 hours and was up every 2 hours. i dont know what to do to get him to take a long nap again. He was doing so good set in that routine and then it got all out of whack.

Yes, don't worry. Babies get their sleep sometime, he will get the sleep he needs for the growing! Everytime I thought I had what David would do during the day figured out he'd go and change it again, moving his naps around or whatever. I just got to know his sleepy signs (rubbing his eyes and unhappy look with fussy sound) and when he said it was naptime, I obeyed. :) I still do that actually.... sometimes he takes only one long nap, sometimes two.

As far as nighttime, I'm pretty sure most babies choose a bedtime of 7-9pm. Its probably better just to follow his cues. We were going to make David's bedtime 9pm, but David chose 8pm by falling asleep. We took the cue and his bedtime has been 8pm ever since. Actually, I am very grateful it ended up being 8pm, because that gives my husband and I 2-3 hours before bed. We spend some of it together, and some of it apart. These days my husband likes to play PS2 and watch terribly boring sports on his time, I like to use the computer and scrapbook these days. ;)

Just want to echo what everyone else has said. Give him a couple days and see what happens. At some point there will have to be some kind of adjustment in the sleeping pattern and this might be one of those times. Adjustment needs to happen several times throughout their young lives. Keep encouraging the night time sleep.

Also watch for other cues that might indicate not feeling well or something. My daughter always let me know she was getting a cold by not napping or sleeping through the night.
