He has said repeatedly he isn't considering it. Interesting to note that he has not used executive privilege with any of his staff

That's only sorta true. Sessions refused to answer questions under oath based on the shaky premise that maybe Trump was considering invoking privilege in the future.

Given Muellers's ties to the Uranium One scandal, the obvious bias by certain investigators investigating Trump, the mission creep of his investigation, and the ridiculous length of this witchhunt, nothing is going to come of this.

And if the dems try to remove a dully elected president over this nothingburger, it's civil war.

We put up with 8 years of Obama and ate it. Now the dems want to overturn the table when it's their turn?

Civil War. That something ya'll pretty want to play with?

Ridiculous length is pretty inaccurate, given the precedent of past investigations similar to this one.

Here's a good Business Insider article on it

For comparison, the House-select committee into the Benghazi attack ran from May 2014 to July 2016

People died in Benghazi and there was a concerted effort to cover-up the fact that the attack was a terror attack just 2 months before the 2012 elections. It also uncovered Hillary's email scandal. That was a real scandal. RussiaGate is a nothing burger.

People did die, but your point was that the length of the Mueller investigation is "ridiculous". That article shows that other investigations, many of which did not involve deaths, ran for 2-3 years.

It's also a little early to call it a "nothing burger", isn't it? Given what has come out of the investigation so far, a lot of questions have been raised. Some of the things I'm most interested in:

  • Flynn's phone call referring to Russian response to Obama's ejection of Russian diplomats
  • Trump Tower meeting in which key campaign staff discussed "adoptions", and the relationship between that meeting and the Magnitsky Act
These points aren't made up. The note about discussing adoptions came from the Trump campaign itself. To call this nothing is to ignore the words of the Trump team itself.

The 'special prosecutor' Democrats want no longer exists

When Americans think of a special prosecutor, Kenneth Starr usually comes to mind. His investigation of President Bill Clinton in the 1990s led to the Monica Lewinsky scandal and impeachment proceedings, in the process turning Starr into a household name.

Two decades later, in the wake of James Comey’s firing, Democrats are calling for an independent investigation into the ties between Russia and President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. But special investigators lack much of the power and autonomy that Starr enjoyed in the Clinton era. Even if Democrats get their wish, an independent probe would have less power — and less independence — than many realize.

The 1977 law that created the role of the “special prosecutor,” placing few limitations on the length, cost or scope of independent investigations, expired in 1999. As a result, that option is effectively off the table, unless Congress reauthorizes the law or passes a new one. Neither scenario seems likely right now, with Republicans in control of Congress and Mr. Trump in the White House.

According to legal experts, the next best option for Democrats seeking an outside probe is for the Department of Justice to appoint a “special counsel” — an investigator with less freedom than a “special prosecutor,” and whose investigation could be curtailed or stopped altogether at any time by the Trump administration.

The titles are often used interchangeably, even by members of Congress. But their differences are real and go beyond semantics, a point that has been largely overlooked in the clamor over Trump’s unexpected decision Tuesday to remove Comey from his post as the FBI director.

How about a source that is reliable and unbiased. Perhaps the actual transcript
Be sure to stretch out before dragging those goal posts around. Now that the GOP tax plan is going to pass health care costs are going to skyrocket again.

Pretty sure the administration is still sorta but not really claiming executive privilege as an excuse to avoid answering questions.

I was referring to your contention that health care prices ever stopped skyrocketing, but that's off topic anyway.
