Not aging but growing

I was just thinking. I'm 39 and going to be 40 in February. My 30's were a very volatile time for me..probably moreso than my teens! I gave birth to my daughter at 33 and was divorced at 34 (after a 15 year relationship/marriage). For the past 5 years I have been on a crazy journey. I spent most of my 30's depressed believe it or not. I was a new mom and didn't know how to take care of a baby. I was down in the dumps about my divorce and then I find Jesus when I didn't expect to.

Now I'm going to be 40 and I'm a confident, great mom. My relationship with God grows deeper every day. I can stand up to the bullies in my life. I think the 40's are going to be great and its because I have God at my side. I'm not drifting in and out of consciousness by the troubles of this world. I'm not old and nor do I feel it.

That's awesome. Hopefully some of us that need to, do get more confident as we age. I remember my mom and I talking about issues with my husband at different times and she would say "I wish you were my age, cuz then you could say such and such" and I would gasp and say "OH I could NEVER do THAT!" but when I got older I understood what she meant and I actually COULD do that LOL.

And BTW 40 is not old IMO.....
