"Not A Bug / Working As Designed" BUG

Hello -

That response: "Not A Bug / Working As Designed", which continues being handed-out,
while all the while more... CF-members are describing... & reporting the very SAME problem, has in & of itself become a BUG.

It is morally & ethically Wrong, telling people: "Not A Bug / Working As Designed", when obviously the problems still exist...

How about PROGRAMMERS' Honesty as the least Standard, one should be able to trust, at a "Christian"-site.

FWIW, I didn't interpret the "Not A Bug / Working As Designed" reply as meaning, "there is no such bug," which seems to be your impression sk8joyful.

I took it as meaning, "That's not a 'bug,' it's a 'feature'" -- a(n) (in)famous Micro$oft reply to "bug" complaints in years past, IIRC.

IOW, yes, the "problem" still exists, and it's going to continue to exist, because it's *supposed* to exist. Now, that also may not be exactly a favorable situation...

Working As Designed MEANS THAT THE WAY VBULLENTIN has designed this forum, so a standard feature of this forum. So even though it acting like a bug, its not actually a bug, it just seem like a bug to us because we aren't use to it.

Without further instruction from staff, I can not proceed any further on the matter until the specifications are all laid out for me to build. I have about 40 other issues I'm dealing with at the moment, but as soon as I'm able to proceed with this, I will.

The status is also used to help classify bugs - I generally only look at the latest "open" tickets which require me to investigate. If something is working as designed but still needs changes, it's noted on my todo list, but is technically not a "bug" per se.
