  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's a process. Don't get down on yourself because you're not there yet. It's our human nature to dwell in darkness. (emotional, mental, physical negativity) And our godly nature to want to learn and grow spiritually through the trials God puts in our way. It is through spiritual maturity that we become thankful for every opportunity to grow spiritually (etc.) which is only brought about through adversity.

I don't know. Do I? I guess I enjoy any human interaction that makes people think, feel and connect with one another.

Did you ever have any childhood fears? Do you still have them?

I was afraid of getting lost.
I'm not sure what started/caused that fear but my poor parents patiently put up with me clinging to them like velcro in stores, restaurants, any place there was a crowd until I was 8 or 9.

I don't really fear getting lost anymore, but I still don't like huge crowds.

Are you comfortable in crowds?

I think your fear, not the part about you being afriad, but the result of you staying close, was probably good for your parents though. My sisters kids are so comfortable wondering off, I'm afraid they're going to end up on a milk carton one day. (It scares me. I never let my kids do it. )

I'm not really comfortable anywhere but at home, with my immediate family. But, I am good at appearing comfortable anywhere I am.

Have you learned a few social tricks to protect yourself in uncomfortable social situations.
