Have you been to the famous Vanderbilt Mansion or the beautiful Lake Junaluska? A couple of years ago we enjoyed a Bible conference at Junaluska, and a few years before we visited the Mansion. Both are great places to visit (especially the conference for us).

What are some fun family friendly attractions you have been to in NC? Where were they? Been wanting to do something new and need ideas! :)
Cherokee, N.C. (this is the area a large part of my Tsalagi (Cherokee) native ancestry is from). I've been to the casino, of course, but have been coming there often since a baby, well before I even knew what a casino was. Unto These Hills and Oconoluftee Indian Village are must sees there, as well as Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Very pretty (and crowded) drive between Gatlinburg, Tenn. and Cherokee. Also, I ussd to take my adopted daughter when she was little to Tweetsie, near Boone/Blowing Rock, N.C.

Hi, I use to love going to Kerr Lake in Henderson, lots of room for camping and canoeing. I also am a big fan of Wilmington. There is Kerry Beach (Big Daddy's is a good seafood resturant there) and Ft. Fisher is just a hike up the road. Also there is Six Flags in Charlotte, been years since I been, so don't know much about it now. Lastly check out the fairgrounds online, sometimes they sponsor camping on the fairgrounds for those who like to camp.
