Add to this that Christianity surpassed this religious belief and survives to this day----unlike a very human Oden and a cow he obviously did not create. On top of everything, is the realization that both Christians and nonchristians have been able to investigate much Biblical data and have found it correct in detail. The items of contention have never been proven to be in error. Flood investigations are ongoing, and concerns of an old Universe are real. No one is doing any scientific research into the truth of the Nordic Creation stories. This is not true of Genesis. There is NOTHING wrong with explaining to students that such research is happening, who is doing it, what they have discovered, who opposes it and why. At the very least it fall under scienticic history----as does a discussion of Darwin.

P.S. That "impressive" list of facts found in the bible include the mentioning of some real places and events. I'm totally floored. And using this logic, I've concluded that the Illiad is historically accurate.
