Hey there, new here ( very new, first post, in fact). As you can tell, I list myself as merely "Christian". Not really sure what I am just now, but didn't want to label myself "seeker" - gives me horrible images of hipster "pastors" drinking coffee and wearing plaid. Growing up in nominally Baptist home, I heard all the rhetoric about the "ebil Catholics" and the Pope. Long story short, after several years of really bad choices, I'm looking round, trying to find "home", as it were. So, rather than believe years of propaganda, I decided I'd check you guys out. Hope me and my noobish questions won't be too much of a hassle. :D

May God bless you and keep you safe from all harm my dear Sister in Christ!

lol yeah us evil Catholics (ever hear us called Papists? that is a good old timey slur)

anyways, I grew up Catholic, with my Dad being Catholic and my Mom being Methodist, so I know a good bit about both... I do have to warn you, some of the things about the Catholic Church might sound really differant then what you are used to, maybe even down right weird, but please try to keep an open mind and let us explain our more eccentric qualities

Yeah, I've heard the papist thing before - my granpa was...unique is a good word. As for the letting you guys explain...go for it! I'm here to learn, after all :)

um... might be best if you ask questions?
that way I can see what you are interested in
also, the questions you ask will also show me what you already know

Hi there and welcome to the madhouse. You don't have to be mad to be Catholic but it helps..;)

While on your search there's a stool in Reilly's with your name on it when you want to take a break and rest yourself...:)
