When you think about how we have been created the millions of cells, blood vessels, our capacity to think, to recreate, etc. It is kind of impossible to deny such a wonderful creation such as us happened by chance.
it didn't happen by chance though, it happened by evolution.
The earth has many parameters like the axis of rotation, the distance from sun, percentage of the different gases, elements, gravitational pull etc. It is hard from me to imagine it was all coincidence.
if any of those qualities were any different, and assuming that life still came about on this planet (highly possible of you consider extremphiles) then life would be different, because it would have adapted to different conditions.
There is a definite design in everything we see. And with every design is a designer.

Everytime I hear a christian say "It's impossible that it could have happened by chance" the vein in my forehead twitches. They're right in their assumption, it probabbly is impossible that it could have happened by chance. However evolution is not just pure dumb luck. It's a natural system of preservation for the best suited creature in a certain enviroment. Granted chance such as giant meteors, ice ages, etc do play an important role it is the enviroment that is left up to chance, not the organisms.

All we can say about such beliefs is, firstly, that they are superfluous and, secondly, that they assume the existence of the main thing we want to explain, namely, organized complexity. ~ Richard Dawkins

It appears that during those ages when animals were torturing each other with ferocious horns and agonizing stings, Omnipotence was quietly waiting for the ultimate emergence of man, with his still more widely diffused cruelty. Why the Creator should have preferred to reach his goal by a process, instead of going straight to it, these modem theologians do not tell us. ~ Bertrand Russell

It was obvious that both the general theory of evolution and its extension to man in particular must meet from the first with the most determined resistance on the part of the Churches. Both were in flagrant contradiction to the Mosaic story of creation, and other Biblical dogmas that were involved in it, and are still taught in our elementary schools. It is creditable to the shrewdness of the theologians and their associates, the metaphysicians, that they at once rejected Darwinism, and made a particularly energetic resistance in their writings to its chief consequence, the descent of man from ape. ~ Ernst Haeckel
