  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I recommend AZUMANGA DAIOH to everyone, a very sweet and whimsical story about high school girls in Japan. SUPERGALS (the manga is just known as GALS) is also about high school girls but is a bit more raucous; the first five episodes didn't have anything overtly offensive in them, however.

I've been catching episodes of PRINCESS NINE on the Anime Network's free on demand samples; it's every baseball cliche rolled into one but it's still entertaining.

The first few episodes of Azumanga Daioh got an MA 15+ rating where I live (which means you're forbidden to watch it if you're under 15, rather than M, which just means it's reccomended you're above 15), and Evangelion got a PG rating right up until the last 6 episodes or so, when it changed to M. What the classifiers were thinking, I don't know. Any clues?

I can't fathom why. The language and content is very mild, there's no violence, no sexual references. The only think that comes to mind is in a couple of episodes Tomo (in one of her typically silly, stupid, pointless competitions) is comparing bust sizes and divvying the class into "Americans" and "Japanese" if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Oh, yeah, of course: The male teacher who obsesses on the girls. Even though he never does anything, he comes across as very creepy. I'll bet that's why they slapped an MA 15+ on it.
