I would like to suggest that the forum for Non-Denom Christians be moved to Theology, or even to "update" the forum rules there to include any Christian to debate there. My reasoning is that Non-Denoms are very diverse in their interpretations of scripture.

I don't know as there is any perfect solution, but some form of change is necessary.

The problem is that this diverse congregation has so many views that differ from one another. Any controversial thread turns into a flame war between dueling mule heads (if I can use that term), and ultimately gets closed by a moderator. I've been with CF for about 2 weeks, and I've already seen this happen to 4 separate threads. Is this normal? Don't the mods tire of this? From observing other congregational forums, the ND forum has the most mod activity as far as thread review.

What I am saying is that there has to be another way. It should be obvious that the current operation is bound for failure.

The forums are set up for interaction. The forum placement is not the problem nor are the rules are the problem. The problem is membership not posting in the rules.
Understood, but how does one prevent a flame war from ensuing when there is so much left to interpretation? The last time that I tried to promote civil conversation, my post was reported and removed. It has since been over turned, but that's not the point. The point is that there has to be a better way to have users respect eachother. My op was simply my first thoughts on how to handle this.
