  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant and for the past few weeks I've been hearing noises from inside the womb. It's like popping noises, similar to when you pop the bubbles on the bubble wrap. I never heard these noises from my other three babies. I've thought about maybe it being my own stomach, but each time I hear the noise, it's in a different place, so it obviously moves around. And it's not at any particular time, either, such as right after I eat or when I have gas. It's pretty random.

My grandma says that she could hear her youngest baby (my aunt) cry inside the womb and I came across a video online of an ultrasound of a baby crying. I'm really curious what these noises are that I am hearing. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed something like that with their pregnancy?

If anyone wants to watch the video, here's the link: http://dsc.discovery.com/news/media/fetalcryingvideo.html

I have also been hearing noises since around 28 weeks. For me, the popping or 'click' sound has been my actual pelvic bone shifting. I usually feel it when it happens... not always very pleasant.

Sometimes I hear some noise if he hiccups really hard or kicks really hard... and if he is really liking what I eat, it is amazing the noises my stomach makes!! Once in a while I feel like I can't get the food in fast enough, and sometimes he won't let me eat but 'snacks' throughout the day.

A few times when he's flopped around (he does from time to time when he turns over or is upset and turns around) I could hear something also..

oh wow, that baby sure is upset!!

Ours never did anything like that on the U/S, but he was shown one time sucking his fingers, another time with hiccups and has been really funny at times hiding his face behind the placenta and his hands. (He likes to play shy .. but he isn't by any stretch of the imagination)

When we do the CTG, he gets really very upset at hearing his own heartbeat and we have to spend the 20-30 minutes talking to him and stroking my belly trying to get him to stay calm and in one place. He tosses, turns, fusses around, kicks and punches and butts his head around. Last time he put both feet on my rib cage and was pushing outwards... I was in tears it hurt so badly....

It's amazing what we know now about what babies do while still developing in utero compared to the mantra of "It's just tissue" many of us have been fed in school education...
