Noah's Ark

Sorry guys.... but the great flood happened on another world.... beyond this present universe.

Noah and his Ark were brought (via raptured) into our present world after their world was totally destroyed (gone forever) by the same waters.... when the windows of heaven were opened (Gen. 7:11) above and below it.

2 Peter 3
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (Greek= totally destoyed)
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The flood was global and happened approximately 4,500 years ago. It explains the fossil record for example.

It is important to remember that the Bible spoke of "kinds" going into the ark, not individual species. Answers In Genesis explains how the animals fitted on to the ark. Just search for "Was there really a Noah's Ark and Flood" (I can't post links yet as I am new here)

So the only way there could have been a global flood is if evolution is true?

Please forgive me for bringing this up as it probably has been brought up many times in the past but............The Ark being 300 cubits long and 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high.... well in todays measurements in feet that is 450 long x 75 wide x 45 high.............well since I was a little boy I reasoned to myself how could such a craft hold one pair (male and female) of every creature on the earth not withstanding 7 of every domesticated animal breeds or species Not withstanding enough feed for a little over a year in most cases for all to be released and set loose upon the earth.

Not doubting any of what is in scripture just wondering how so many animals could fit on board?................God Bless all of You.......Dave

The animals were at peace with each other, the floor area is quite large, need not have been full grown adults when coming on board and were of each of the types (but not all the varieties that then micro-evolved in short order following that. Some animals it appears missed the boat or were not invited. The grace of God was at work here so anything is possible.

There are over a thousand islands in the Philippines. It is very common to find an animal on those islands that you will not find anywhere else in the world. The biodiversity in the Philippines is based on a pre flood distribution. But that is to complicated to explain right now. The bottom line is that the Noah's flood had to be what we call a local flood. Noah could not have traveled all over the world picking up animals and somehow returning them to the exact island he got them from.

1) The God revealed in scripture who created the heavens and the earth was able to bring them to the ark in the first place and this miracle is only the more dramatic and gives him all the greater glory given observations like the above.

2) Moreover he was able to preserve them in the ark from a global catastrophe that unleashed immense tidal forces and waves for instance which should have ripped this ark indeed any modern ship apart.

3) Given 1) above it was hardly surprising that he was able to restore them to the places he had mapped for them. The bible talks of parting the Red sea for humans - why not for animals also? Not saying that he did do it like that he might have simply transported them for all I know. The point is that this is not impossible for a God of miracles.
