No Shadow
James 1:16-18... Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

The sun cannot compare to the glory of Your love
There is no shadow in Your presence
No mortal man would dare to stand before Your throne
Before the Holy One of Heaven

This phrase from the above song really sticks in my mind - 'There is no shadow in Your presence'. It reminds of the promise of eternal life -- in His presence. There will be no more darkness - not a hint - not a shadow -- no more night -- no more death, mourning, crying, pain ....
Nothing will hide the glory of the Lord ..
the glory of the Lord will give us light, the Lamb is the lamp.
This sounds wonderful! So what do we have to do to have eternal life? Just accept God's good and perfect gift - Jesus Christ.
John 3:16... For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
New Jerusalem
Revelations 21:4, 23, 25... He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
... there will be no night there ...

Thank You Lord for Your perfect gift -- Your son the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for the gift of eternal life that is each of ours to accept thru Jesus. Thank You that there is no shadow in Your presence and the glory of the Lord will give us light with the Lamb as the lamp. Help each of us open our hearts to Your presence today & always. In the name of Jesus Christ.
