No Motivation

It's terrible. It's finals week and I have no motivation to study what so ever. I have taken four finals already, and my two hardest are tommorow, but I am having such a hard time concentrating and just sitting down to study. GRRR Any suggestions?

Not really, because I do the exact same thing. I hit about week 8 of the quarter, and I'm just like, "Oh, I don't want to go to class ... I won't go to class ... blah" and then I do thoroughly craptastical in the class.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Sorry. The only advice I can give you is to force yourself to study. That's what I'm TRYING to do!

Six finals? Who can blame you for being exhausted!

Where are you studying? Are you doing it in your room with a whole lot of distractions? If so, try to find a place that's quiet and doesn't have a lot of traffic, like the library or a study room.

Yeah, the library works well for me.

I like going to the library if I have people to study with, if I don't - I fall asleep

Yeah, and then there's me who talks to my fiance all the time instead of studying!

Take yourself a glass, a bottle of soda and chocolate...
keep away from a computer and any other distraction.
that's how i survived when i had to revise for competitive exams --2 weeks revision, about 8 hours a day, sometimes more, alone in my bedroom !!!

There are days i can work either... but when i don't have choice, then i get in my bedroom and try to concentrate.

I am in the exact same situation as week speak. Was studying, but just can't, so I choose to navigate the WWW. Now back to studying, I just keep forcing myself

I suggest setting times to break. For instance at 7pm I'm taking a 1/2 break to play PS2 and watch TV. Then I'll be back until about 830 or 9 and then break and get dinner. Then back again, and then break at 1230ish. Then some last seconds things and heading to bed around 2-3am.

I don't know about you but my final is at 730am, I am dreading riding my scooter.

In Gainesville Florida it is around 45 degrees. Tomorrow at 7am it will be around 20-25 degrees. I'm gonna freeze on my way to my final. I'm going to get my ski jacket and ski gloves from my house. This is gonna be horrible

My college bible study handed out a Final Week Study bag. Here is what I just found in the bag:

Hey I have an idea, for all of us struggeling with studying, we can post every hour how our studying is going. That way we can hold each other accountable. We can also try to make sure there is not a post from a studying person in intervals of less than 30 minutes. What do you think?

That means - I shouldn't post again until 7:22 at the earliest, and I need to repost at 7:52 to let you all know how I'm doing.

Any who are struggling with staying focused - try to do the same - yay!
