  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No more excuses...

Yes. The Trump team is arguing at the appellate court that presidential immunity should apply to people who were not at that time president.
Yes. Trump filed the necessary paperwork less his tax records he said over and over again he would release and never did.
Thank you - keeping in mind - the man's tax returns are not required.

Personally I think he should just release them, though with 350 corporations, I imagine it would be very difficult to decipher.

Why do you hold this president to a higher standard when none of them keep their promises? I've been hearing most of the problems for 30 years.
The real problem is party politics where we don't hold our guys accountable. Blame blame like children.
It is true that other Presidents don't keep their promises. Often some are beyond their control though. Bush and his no new taxes was sure held accountable by the voters.

Absolutely agree - it was the Trump organization - headed by Trump - and yes there are34 charges - guilty verdicts currently being ajudicated.
The guilty verdicts were fully adjudicated; there was no penalty attached. He is still appealing other cases.

It was not just the Trump Organization but, importantly, Trump himself, the comptroller/CFO and Trump's personal attorney who were found guilty - separately. Trump funneled hush money payments through his organization even though the deal had nothing to do with any organization business, but with Trump's campaign for president. He directed that the payments be filed as "legal expenses" when they were not, thus the false filing charges. The 34 felony convictions are Donald Trump's, not his business' which were separately dealt with.
Can we both agree that the above is 100% true and accurate and so is the proof shown in post #8 is 100% true and accurate and the President has filed all required financials with the proper government entities, as every one of his predecessors have also?
No, because you tried to put the convictions on the Trump Organization and not on Trump himself - this is not true.

Trump is the only modern president not to release his tax returns - everyone knows that the "audits" were just an excuse.
I don't believe we can accept one and not the other.

No, but he said that he was going to release them. It is also a matter he has complete control over. That he chose not to is a blight on the man's character, and now republicans vote for the candidates he endorses in the primaries. It makes no sense.

Personally I think he should just release them, though with 350 corporations, I imagine it would be very difficult to decipher.
