  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OK, first I am not putting Nintendo down. I miss Nintendo, I grew up playing on the NES and SNES. They have not had a very good console since the SNES days. Nintendo used to be a powerhouse taking on anybody who got in their way like Neo-Geo & Sega. However a sleeping giant awoke and the giants name was Playstation. Nintendo has never been the same and neither have long time Nintendo fans.

So to answer your question No, this time Nintendo has to be the sleeping giant.

But eyes are watching from Playstation.

I didn't vote either way, since neither option seemed right to me. I don't think Nintendo will fail--there are way too many dedicated Nintendo fans out there right now to think that, IMO. However, right now it's obviously playing second-fiddle to Playstation, and maybe to Xbox as well. Nintendo's refusal to get an online component going and the stupid gimmick of GBA connectivity has alienated it from mainstream success. Hopefully, they can turn it around with the next console, though, because I love their games. I wouldn't have a problem with them becoming a third party developer, but I doubt that will happen.
