I have "Pretty Hate Machine" and "Broken."
At first, I really loved NIN and really dug further. I also have their "All that could have been" Live album...but to be honest, the more I listened to them, the more I felt angst and bitterness. Trench makes it so that you feel what he feels, and often times, that's not spiritually healthy if you're a Christian. Also, the hate that fills up the lyrics are present in his vocals also, part of that makes him so expressive, but at the same time, against God in many ways.
I choose God over anything, and dumping this music really got me "closer to God"...but not in the Trent sense.
I'm also not a fan of swearing and profanity, so that also disqualifies NIN from my listening experience. Anyway, those are my thoughts.
