People in their 20s,30s and 40s each have their own sites under life stages. Then we have 50+.(as if 50 and over is just one big category.) This is not true. As someone in their 50s, I feel like those of my decade(50-59)shouldn't be generically lumped in w/60, 70, 80,90,100,etc. We may not be 25 anymore but we are not yet eligible for all the senior discounts! We have issues specific to our own decade. Can we please have our own site?

I know there's golden eagles already, do you think a 50s only forum would get a lot of traffic?

I considered that, but then I thought that 50s is kind of an important decade, in and of it's own, to focus in on. This is because we are kind of the "in-betweeners" of senior hood, in that we are aware that we are not 25 anymore but we are not necessarily retired, unless we have fallen upon circumstances that have made it so. It's like the "adolescence" of the Golden Years. I think this makes it unique and it deserves its own site.

The 50s is a big decade. In our early 50s many of us become empty nesters. We may have our kids' marriages to celebrate. In our late 50s many of us are dealing with ailing parents. There are a lot of emotional turmoils in the 50s.

Would you participate in "Nifty Fifties" if it became a site on CF?
