Bio: Nick was 19 when he contracted a rather deadly disease; there was no known cure at the time. Scientists, however, had been researching it, and had a good chance of finding a cure... but it would take another two years before it would be even possible. Nick, the son of a rich man, became the first and only test subject for a Cryogenic Chamber at the age of 20, when he was in the last stages of the disease.
Scientist were able to cure him after a new process was able to speed up the production and research of this cure, but Nick was never revived out of the chamber. He sleeps on, unaware that he is now completely healthy, not aging one day.
Of course, nothing lasts forever. Should the auxillary systems run out of power, he would be revived before complete electrical failure; a failsafe Nick's father had installed at the last minute.
