• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This ad focuses on national figures near the beginning and Wisconsin politicians in the middle. Nice to have an ad with no guy trying to sound all dark asking rhetorical questions about the other candidate. Definitely meant to motivate the center, center-left and left.

Inflammatory and over the top. But certainly it would be motivational to those who are on the far left. :)

The problem is that if your message is so utterly centered in these terms you re equally motivating the people who admire those others to go out and vote.

You can't motivate the right wing any more this cycle, like the video said they're already going to vote! This was a good video to motivate the centrist and liberal voters.

IMHO, that ad would drive voters away from the left. A series of out of context snippets patched together in an attempt to smear their opponents just shows how low the left has sunk. Pathetic.

Great ad, no smear here, just the facts about the lunatics who want to run America. Don't let them.

Your enthusiastic approval says a lot about you. This ad doesn't address issues, it's nothing more than a "gotcha" game. I have to shake my head at the leftists snickering behind their hands as if they were clever.

It simply illustrates how far right the conservative base has become and reminds everyone that these are the people who are motivated to vote. People who think Obama is a secret Kenya, Sean Hannity, Christine O'Donnell. Does all of America really want such far-right wing deciding the direction of the country? They had their shot from '00-to-'08

Like all the tea party signs which compare Obama to witch doctors and hitler ^_^

Which by the way this video never does, nothing this video states is untrue, unless some of the individual names decide not to vote.

I think if it were with rationally-minded people like you, CoG1, I'd agree. But I've seen a load of right-wing extremist drive-bys on CF, (I think I got in a fight with one too), long enough to think that this guy is a breath of fresh air as far as drive-bys go.

I don't think I've agreed with a single thing he says so far. Like now, this video is extremely over-the-top and towards the second half just goes into characteristics that shouldn't really matter when it comes to voting. I misspell and typo on my posts every once in a while, that doesn't make me dumb.

got any more slogans you want to stuff in two sentences? Republicans have worked hard to gather every lunatic who will say something bad about the president. They're yours now, enjoy the company.

I'm going to have to side with the Republicans on this one. I like the concept and the choice of music, but it feels like a mishmash of cheap shots directed at nobody in particular. Less "hurr those Tea Party people sure are dumb" and more focus next time please.

A game involves some sort of challenge or test of skills -- this was just the simple truth that people with views you may not like are voting.

I have to shake my head at the leftists snickering behind their hands as if they were clever.

Just make sure you vote.

Yeah, that's kind of how I felt.
