Newsboys are amazing! I only discovered them at the beginning of this year, then luckily they had one date in the UK at Alton Towers... they were Amazing! (So good that the next day I went out and bought Adoration, Thrive and Step up to the Microphone... I already had Love Liberty Disco and Devotion).

My Favourite songs have to be Devotion, Million Pieces, He Reigns, the covers of the Matt Redman and Tim Hughes songs... better than the originals!

I really want them to come back to the UK again, but there is nowt in their dates.

My favorite Newsboys song is In Christ Alone. I love the way that it goes step by step through the gospel. It is also full of lines that are full of Biblical truth like "fullness of God in helpless babe." That is one concept that is almost impossible to understand. I also like "From life's first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny." That is one of my favorite lines from any Christian song; its so encouraging and hopeful to know that God is in control of my entire life.

I think Let it Rain was written for Newsboys by Steve Taylor - he writes for Sixence none the Richer too.
Anyway, I love Newsboys too - my favourite is 'Million Pieces', the lyrics ring soo true. We got to see them playing at Alton Towers here in England earlier this year, they were fantastic in concert!

yeah, In Christ Alone has some of the best lyrics ever. I like on the 3rd verse, which we always play really loudly with extra drums etc at Church, when it goes

I love newsboys too, i dont know if its my favorite of their songs but i really like entertaining angels. They put on a really good concert.

Shine....and Breakfast in done by the original newsboys before Peter Fuler took over as lead vocals.....i just liked the other guys voice better. heck there best album IMO was Take me to your Leader.

I agree - I haven't liked any of their music since Take Me To Your Leader.
Different singer, and that was was produced by Steve Taylor, who also wrote several of the songs.

Btw, who was the original singer for the band? Did he perform any songs off Shine The Hits, 'cuz that's the oldest CD I have.

I love In Christ Alone too! You know that's actually an old hymn. It has incredible lyrics!

Anyone know anything about the new cd they are supposedly supposed to have out sometime this month? I heard they were somewhere, don't remember and then I was looking at their website and the only thing that said anything was an old news item that barely mentioned it.
