Well,

I have been in a state of peace for a few days now.

I have prayed so much, as St. Therese, said, I stormed heaven with my prayers! I asked many Saints to pray for me! Yesterday was St. Jude's Feast Day, and I was asking for his intercession.

And today I finished my Novena to St. Therese, and this afternoon, I walked into the kitchen, and in walks my aunt, with a vase of 3 absolutely gorgeous roses, that she had recieved today. I can't keep my nose out of them! Or, admiring them!

I had asked, I think last night for a sign, that I was truly meant to be a nun, I think I included that in my novena to St. Therese, and I asked Jesus also! Also, that I would, be freed from my bad thougts too!

:o Well, i'm working on proving myself worthy to my Uncle! It'll take some work! But in the long run it'll do me good, plus i've got to research also.

Why do you feel you have to prove yourself to your uncle?

Because, I haven't convinced him I want to be a nun. He wants me to show, character, integrity, and maturity he thinks true Nuns show that (So sayeth, the Protestant!). He doesn't respect people who don't have those qualities or whatever. So, i'm working on proving myself to him. I am going to do Community Service.

Becoming a nun is a huge decision and commitment. I hope that you have fully thought this out and are not making a choice you may later regret. I should not be the one to preach, but God is all loving and all accepting. You don't need to have your uncle's acceptance to be a great person. I pray that if you do become a nun, it's because it is your true calling and not because you want to prove yourself.

Well, don't put too much in being a nun on whether or not you get a sign, of course.

With me, I know I am waiting for God to tell me where to be and He may not want me to be something or go somewhere for quite a while. Until I am married, I am gonna keep myself open!

God has such patience with me, I certainly try to give Him the same

Whenever I talk about, abortion or the babies or whatever, he *my uncle* says that I tear up. So, my uncle thinks I should look into Orders, who are more towards Pro-Life Work, I guess! Which, I want to get involved in Pro-Life. God wants me to help the little ones?

Renee, I'm sorry if you've told us your background and decisions on living a life dedicated in a vocation to Christ, and somehow I've missed it, but since I've been out here and there, I'm curious -- what brings you to the conclusion that you are being called to becoming a Nun?
