Newly Pregnant

So after going to my doctors I am officially pregnant at about 5 weeks, but the absolute correct length won't be confirmed until Monday after getting a blood test for my hormone levels. Was anyone else paranoid about having an ectopic pregnancy or miscarrying when they first found out they were pregnant? I am a little on the worried side, but I'm praying and I have a feeling that I will be able to carry to full term.

Congratulations! I think it's really normal to be worried about miscarriage, especially in those early weeks. I was worried about it with my first too, up until the end of our first trimester. Try to enjoy each day as much as possible, your assurance is a good thing.

First off, congratulations! Concerning ectopic pregnancies. My wife had one years ago. It was very hard on her but we got through it together and we had peace to know that we will see that little baby in heaven some day. Now, after having one ectopic, the chances of having another was very high. And, to complicate things, the chances of getting pregant again was reduced.

Suffice to say, that happened after our first child was born. We just welcomed into the world our fourth child three weeks ago. God is great and has blessed us tremendously with our 3 little miracles. Trust Him. He knows your struggles and He knows what He is doing in this world. Please keep us posted as to how the pregnancy is going! God bless you and your child!

congrats glamourdoll! It is very normal to worry about something going wrong, all we can do is prayerfully trust in our God. I hope everything goes perfectly for you!

I'm completely paranoid about it and praying nonstop. I'm going to be making my appointment on Monday. I hope everything goes well for you during your appointment tomorrow.

It is very normal to be worried but be careful not to let that worry turn into stress because that isn't good for you or the baby.

That's kind of motherhood in a nutshell...learning to deal with having no control over their eventual well being...and coming to terms with the reality that our children are just on loan to us.

Ladies, Glamourdoll did miscarry not long after posting about it. I've not heard from her in awhile so I don't know what's going on with her now..but she still needs prayers because I'm sure it was a traumatic experience.
