Well, when you build some of these sites, you (anyone) have to fill the space with something so, I assume the builder of this forum felt the need to give folks a title? This is a common practice in many forum type websites. I had an old west forum one time and it was a real job trying to fill up all the categories, sub-categories, etc. There's a lot of work that goes into designing one of these forums and I found after about a year or so of having the one I had, it took up just way too much time to keep things running smoothly so, I closed the forum down and some of the members started their own forums. A few still exist today but, most of them failed because of bickering between members as to who was going to be a moderator and who wasn't? Without some type of moderation, these forum websites can really get out of hand, been there - done that!
